Subject: Minutes of Meeting of the 2nd Annual Meet of NACS.Executive Body meeting and General Body Meeting were held on 11^th and 12^th of October, 2019 respectively at D.M.C and Hospital, Ludhiana.

The executive meeting was held on 11^th October, 2019 at D.M.C &Hospital, Ludhiana. The following executive members attended the meeting.

Dr Subhash Kaushal, Dr. Patnaik and Dr Harsimarjit Kaur could not attend the EBM due to some unavoidable circumstances and had informed the secretariat well in time.

The General body meeting was held on 12^th of October,2019 at 2.00p.m in the auditoriumof D.M.C&H, Ludhiana and was presided over by Dr. Rajan Kumar Singla, PresidentNCAS. The decisions approved by executive committee were put before the general house for their approval. The G.B.M was attended by 80 members.

Following are the minutes of the meeting:

1. The meeting began with a welcome address by Dr. Usha Chhabra, General Secretary NCAS. She welcomed Dr. Rajan Kumar Singla, President NCAS, Dr. Hitant Vohra, organising chairperson, office bearers of NCAS, guests and delegates.
2. The minutes of the last GBM, which was held on 7^th of October, 2018 at G.M.C Patiala during the first annual meet of NCAS and C.M.E cum conference were uploaded on the website of the NCAS. As no objections were received from any quarter, therefore, these were considered as approved.
3. Dr Harsimarjit Kaur, Treasurer, presented the audited expenditure statement for the year 2018-2019 which was duly approved.
4. The names of 10 new life members were approved by the general house and were accepted as life members of NCAS w.e.f. 2020.
5. Permanent registration numbers have been allotted to all the new life members and had been mentioned in their lifemembership certificates.
6. It was discussed in EBM and then approved in the GBM that the registration of new life / annual members will be done at the secretariat level only. Registration forms are available on the website of NCAS and can be procured from the secretariat as well.
7. A request was made to all the senior faculty members to encourage post graduates to become life members of the society.
8. The directory of life members should be updated once a year and should be included in the journal of society and a new directory should come up after every 5 years.
9. It was approved in the GBM that any member transferring money for membership should also intimate his or her biodata along with the transaction details to the Treasurer.
10. It was discussed and approved that if the organizers of the conference plan to undertake any activities other than academics, the permission must be sought from the secretariat well in advance.
11. If there is shortage of funds with the organizers then it is not necessary to give costly bags to the delegates instead a file folder,diary and a souvenir can be given.
12. The editor and the joint editor of the society made a humblerequest to all the life members for contributing research articles for publication in the society journal.
13. Kanchan Kapoor, Editor of the journal briefed the house regarding RNI number of the journal and it was proposed that a new press should be identified in Patiala only as the secretariat is based at Patiala.
14. Elections for the office bearers of the executive committee were held for the year 2020. All the members were elected unopposed.

The General body approved the proposal by Department of Anatomy, PGIMERChandigarh, for the next CME, to be held in the year 2020.

Dr. Rajan Kumar Singla, President, handed over the charge of President and Medal to the newly elected President Dr. Hitant Vohra, Professor and Head Deptt.of Anatomy, D.M.C &Hospital,Ludhiana.

Dr. Anjali Aggarwal, Associate professor, Deptt. Of Anatomy, PGIMER, Chandigarh extended a warm invitation to all the delegates for the next CME at Chandigarh.

Dr. Usha Chhabra, secretary NCAS, concluded the GBM and thanked the house and organizing committee for the smooth conduct of the CME and scientific sessions.

Members bid farewell to each other on a happy note with a promise to meet next year at Chandigarh.
